January Photo Contest You can enter the annual January Open Photo Contest  now!  There is no theme.  Any Quail Creek resident can submit 1 photo; any topic.  It has to be 3 years old or less. Please rename each file with the title of the image. Size your image to either 13”X19” or 16”X20”  and then send all (large) jpg images to (copy and paste address) pcqccontest@gmail.com Entry Deadline is midnight - January 31, 2019. The next education session offered to the PCQC membership will be held on Jan 16, 2019 at 7:00 in the Kino Conference Center. This session will be an open Camera Help session. Bring your camera, and bring your laptop to discuss photo software.  
December Photo Contest Winners :
February Monthly Meeting The February meeting of the Photography Club of QC will be held Weds, Jan 13, 2019. The meeting will start at 7:00 pm in the Kino Center. Steve Dell, a well known professional photographer will be presenting his latest work. He will precede the meeting with a critique session for members only. Details on this session will follow soon.

February 2019 Field Trip

The next field trip will be Friday February 22.  We will travel to the Biosphere 2 in Oracle, just north of Tucson where we will have a tour of the facilities. Admission cost is $19 for seniors. Biosphere 2 is a unique large-scale experimental apparatus housing seven model ecosystems with ongoing active research. We will leave the parking lot of the Madera Clubhouse at 8:30. A map and directions can be found on their website. University of Arizona Biosphere 2 32540 S. Q1 2019 Photo Challenge The member’s Quarterly Photo Challenge  runs from Jan 1 to Mar 31, 2019. The topic is Dominant Color. The photo should have a dominant color that immediately attracts the viewer’s eye to the subject.
